Moruya Red Door Theatre Company (MRDTC), like all organisations, has a number of policies and a code of conduct to ensure our incorporated compliance. Please see the following key functional policies and information.
Not-For-Profit:
This means that at MRDTC, there are no paid roles and the vast majority of artistic, creative and craft support is provided by volunteers on a voluntary basis.
MRDTC is incorporated under the NSW Fair Trading Associations Incorporation Act 2009, Incorporation Number INC1801108 . MRDTC has adopted the Model Constitution as its Constitution.
Code of Conduct:
- we expect and require that all volunteer members demonstrate a complete respect for others in the group in all circumstances and at all times.
- we have a zero tolerance of inappropriate behaviour and will intervene and take action to avoid and stop any such instances.
- we do not condone or support the taking of pictures or videos in the context of a MRDTC production without the explicit consent of the individual or the parent/guardian should a young person be engaged directly or indirectly in a photograph or video.
- we will provide a safe reporting system for all members should they have concerns. If an issue or concern should arise, then this should immediately be communicated to a MRDTC Committee member via our phone contact, 0490 805 389, or speak directly to a committee member, as listed on our website.
- we will utilise the NSW Mandatory Reporting Guidelines as required, if minors are invloved.
NSW Working With Children:
MRDTC utilises the NSW Working With Children Check (NSW WWCC). As such, we are committed to diligently follow the legal requirements, values and behaviours require to ensure our Theatre Company is compliant with the appropriate standards. Our policy necessitates that:
- if any child, up to and including 17 year old is involved in any workshop, performance or event of any kind, then the supervising adults, be that a coach, a mentor or any persons involved in the production over the age of 18 years will be required to provide in confidence to the MRDTC Secretary their current & valid NSW Working With Children Check reference number.
MRDTC requires that all participants in a production need to follow the recommendations regarding the roles or volunteer activities that have been identified as requiring a NSW WWCC. All adults in MRDTC who are working with children, will:
- take personal responsibility to ensure the well-being and safety of every child involved with MRDTC, by reporting suspicious activity to the Police.
- use the following links to obtain a NSW WWCC and to familiarise themselves with the NSW Kidguardian guidelines.
